What are the causes of corrosion in industrial chillers?

Nowadays, with the popularization of industrial chillers, they have been widely used in various industries. But with the application of chillers, corresponding corrosion phenomena may also occur. So what are the causes of corrosion in industrial chillers? Below, the Jimes Refrigeration editor will provide a detailed introduction for everyone.

1. When the number and location of electronic water treatment units installed are unreasonable, it can cause corrosion to the system. Screw refrigerators have extremely strong electronegativity, and water molecules can also corrode scale and rust. However, if the installation quantity and location of electronic water processors are not reasonable, they will cause serious corrosion to the water system, and their negative effects far outweigh their positive effects.

2. Most of the installed cleaning devices are Y-shaped. Installed on the riser, this type of cleaner can only collect construction waste during the initial operation of the equipment, preventing it from entering the condenser. However, this Y-shaped filter cannot capture small scale and rust during daily operation, which can cause condenser fouling, mud accumulation, and other impurities.

3. There are no water meters installed in the cooling tower and chilled water supply pipes. Because water treatment generally uses chemical treatment, it is necessary to add chemicals according to the amount of makeup water and system water, so these two water meters cannot be missing in the design.

4. Corrosion problems caused by unreasonable design and installation plans.

5. There is no quick drain valve designed at the outlet in industrial refrigerators and chilled water systems. At present, many units of industrial refrigeration machines do not have quick discharge valves installed at the end plates. The correct approach is to discharge the cooling system 2-3 times a week from the outlet side using the "three on, three off" method, and to discharge the chilled water system once a week using this method.

6. The use of softened water for replenishment is due to the permanent pollution of groundwater caused by sodium ion exchange regeneration waste liquid. It can be seen that the use of softened water poses great harm, so I suggest that the design department design central air conditioning or other water systems Never use softened water as makeup water. General water treatment agents should be anti scaling and anti-corrosion. In this way, using softened water for hydration is not a good method.

That's all for the reason of corrosion in industrial chillers. Industrial chillers are equipped with a single-chip control system, built-in compressor drying filter and expansion valve, maintenance manual valve interface and other devices, ensuring reliable and safe operation of the machine and facilitating maintenance and repair.
