Air cooled chiller is a device installed outdoors and is more susceptible to the influence of outdoor environment. (1) Frequent start stop of the compressor: it may be due to excessive or insufficient refrigerant, causing the pressure protection switch to activate, resulting in high exhaust pressure or low suction pressure, and also due to poor water system circulation and frosting on the surface of the compressor.

Solution: When it is confirmed that there is a lot of refrigerant, excess refrigerant can be released at the exhaust port. If it is insufficient, check for any refrigerant leaks and replenish the refrigerant. Check for blockages or air accumulation in the water circulation system and exhaust it. If the circulating water volume is too small, an open chilled water circulation system can be used.

(2) When the compressor is running, there is a loud noise: the expansion valve should be checked for malfunction, and the temperature bulb should be disconnected from the compressor suction pipe to allow the liquid refrigerant to return to the compressor. If it is damaged, it should be repaired, and if the compressor is damaged, it should be replaced.

(3) Insufficient cooling capacity: The reason for insufficient cooling capacity may be due to insufficient refrigerant and low evaporation temperature; Poor cold insulation effect of pipelines; Poor heat dissipation of the unit condenser; Reasons such as excessive resistance in the water circulation system.

When handling, check for leaks in the refrigerant pipeline and repair it before replenishing the refrigerant; Repair the insulation layer; Clean the condenser and check if the fan is running properly; Clean the pipeline filter to ensure smooth circulation of the system. (4) Frost formation on the suction pipe of the compressor: it may be due to poor emptying of the system, excessive flow of chilled water, blockage of the system pipeline, or insufficient flow rate. The pipeline should be cleared of air.

(5) Excessive condensing pressure: when there is too much refrigerant; The high external air temperature causes poor ventilation of the unit; When there is air or non condensable gas in the refrigerant system, it can cause excessive condensation pressure.

Solution: Discharge excess refrigerant; Adjust and improve the ventilation environment around the unit (such as setting up sun shelters, etc.); Open the exhaust pipe for exhaust.

(6) Low condensing pressure: It may be due to insufficient refrigerant or compressor damage. When dealing with it, check for leaks, repair and replenish refrigerant. Check the compressor and replace it if it is damaged.

(7) Excessive suction pressure: too much refrigerant, excessive heat load. Improper adjustment of the expansion valve may result in excessive suction pressure.

Solution: Discharge excess refrigerant, reduce the amount of chilled water, lower the heat load, and readjust the opening of the expansion valve.

(8) Low suction pressure: possible refrigerant shortage; The opening of the expansion valve is too small; Due to blockages in equipment pipelines in the water system, check for leaks, repair and replenish refrigerant, adjust or replace expansion valves.
